if you took a poll of some of the most respected djs and ask them who is their favorite dj/producer (dj's dj respect poll) i think top of that list would either be charlie may (spooky) or laurent garnier (of course within range of my taste of music).
this track THE MAN WITH THE RED FACE is an old laurent garnier classic which he remixed and released again circa 2007, this is a fun live version with a live sax player, enjoy!

way out west - ajare - soundsystem remix

jody wisternoff (+ nick warren =way out west), is definitely one of my top5 djs. his monthly shows on proton radio (way out there) and frisky radio (intensified) are 2 shows that i can't do without.. this website http://www.hybridized.org/ has a "way out west" section (in the roster on the left) that contains a folder of 257 wisternoff and/or way out west sets! go get you some!! anywho, he played this track on his new years eve set (live in kenya, which is also in there)! enjoy

i know this sounds too big of a statement, but i would nominate this as my favorite track of all time if i had to choose only one track. first heard it on digweed's global underground - hong kong (opening track), i used this piece in some of the most meaningful sets that i played in my djing career! it takes me to a very special state of mind!! since i just started this blog in january 2011, i will continue to post classics that touched me, and from next month on, it will mostly be new music! enjoy!
